A shearing world record that has survived unassailed for eight years will be under threat at Cameron Grant's farm when Max Winders, Trevor Holland, Ben Boyle, Trent Hewes and Josef Winders attempt to break the strong wool lamb, five stand, eight hour record of 2910 set in King Country in 2015.

The general public are welcome. There will be a marquee, a large screen outside the shed to accommodate an overflow of spectators, a picnic area, food and beverage on sale and, if the boys are successful, a chance to witness the fall of a long standing shearing world record.

The event runs all day as the boys complete four two-hour runs through to 5pm. It will also be livestreamed for those unable to make it on the day. Click on this link to get the lowdown from Max Winders and LIKE and FOLLOW Forde Winders Shearing if you want to get amongst the lead-up to 14 January 2024.

There may be a small charge at the farm gate.
