Māruawai Matariki Celebration is a Gore and Districts community wide event, free for all to come together an celebrate Matariki. In this whānau friendly event tamariki (children) and rangitahi (young people) share their talents with us through kapa haka, dance and bands. It culminates with a massive fireworks display.
This event is organised for you through the efforts of our local Hokonui Rūnanga, Gore Kids Hub, Lower Mataura Valley Community of Learning Kāhui Ako, Pomāhaka Community of Learning Kāhui Ako and the Gore Community of Learning Kāhui Ako.
Vendors will be there for the purchase of a wide variety of food items.
As well as the performances there are activities for the children.
