The Gore Youth Awards are held annually to celebrate the achievements of youth aged 12 – 24 in our District.

Nominees must live within the boundary of Gore and Districts Health Inc.

Nominations can be made here until 5:00pm Wednesday 30 November 2022.

Tickets are available at the St James Theatre or online at i-TICKETS and cost $10.00.

2022 Award Categories are:

Leadership Award: This award recognises a young person, aged 12-24 years, who has demonstrated excellent leadership skills in their community (this could be either a geographical location and/or community of interest).

Inclusion and Diversity Award: This award recognises a young person, aged 12-24 years, who has promoted diversity, cultural understanding and/or positive change for under-represented groups in their community (this could be either a geographical location and/or community of interest)

Commitment to the Environment Award: This award recognises a young person, aged 12-24 years, who is making significant contributions in order to bring about environmental improvements and/or support sustainability

Entrepreneurship Award: This award recognises a young person (or group of young people), aged 12-24 years, who has demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and/or social responsibility in business.

Working for Youth Award: This award recognises a group of young people, aged 12-24 years, whose actions have specifically supported other young people in areas such as, but not limited to, the arts, culture, education, the environment, health and well-being, research or sport

Outstanding Youth Champion Award: This award recognises an individual, aged 12-24 years, or organisation, who has made a significant contribution to young people in areas including but not limited to, the arts, culture, education, the environment, health and well-being, research or sport

Non-Conformist Award: To recognise a young person, aged 12-24 years, who has excelled or achieved in a non-mainstream activity, eg acting/dancing/speech/rock climbing/archery

Overcomers Award: This award is to recognise a young person, aged 12-24 years, who has shown positive change and progress after overcoming obstacles in their way whether they be social, physical, health or wellbeing, financial or environmental

Supreme Junior Award: To recognise an outstanding young person, aged 12-17 years, who has tirelessly worked to advocate for and make a significantly positive contribution to address the current needs of young people in their community (this could be either a geographical location and/or community of interest).

Supreme Senior Award: To recognise an outstanding young person, aged 18-24 years, who has tirelessly worked to advocate for and make a significantly positive contribution to address the current needs of young people in their community (this could be either a geographical location and/or community of interest)
