The Waimumu Art Exhibition is being held over Mothers Day weekend, attracting new, emerging and established artists from around New Zealand.
Opening night on 7 May at 7.30 pm, with limited tickets available at Country Living Gore $15 each Opening Night Ticket includes Wine & Nibbles.
They are delighted to welcome Marie Reid-Beadle as the guest artist for this, their 11th exhibition. Marie started pursuing her passion for being an artist approximately 16 years ago. She is self-taught, and her style and choice of the subject have somewhat changed over the years. Having started with painting succulents and moving on to cows and native birds. She is well recognised for her native birds with the Highland cows series and her newly inspired Balancing Act series.
Waimumu Art is just a 10-minute drive from Gore; and central to art lovers in Southland and Otago, based in the Waimumu Te Tipua Hall, on the corner of Waimumu and Glendhu Roads.
The exhibition is known for its friendly, warm and relaxed atmosphere. Come and enjoy a Devonshire Tea, adding to the experience that is known as Waimumu Arts.
