Opened at the Eastern Southland Gallery in Gore is a new exhibition from Whanganui artist Sue Cooke. LONG HEE LEE - A SONGLESS LAND is an exhibition created especially for the 180 degree curved wall in the Eastern Southland Gallery.
The exhibition focuses on the Chinese Gold Miners of the late 1800’s and the loss of New Zealand’s indigenous forests. The imagery references destruction, healing and the beauty of New Zealand’s indigenous forests.
