Pack a snack bag and travel the world on this newest StoryWalk®! But before you go, grab a map from the start of the StoryWalk, or Gore Library, and fill it in as you go. Challenge yourself to seek and find the objects on each page. Starting at the Gore Gardens, take a stroll through our lovely parks, enjoy some exercise in nature, have some whānau time, and read a great story together.

The latest story is 'The travel bug' by Benjamin Gilmour and illustrator James Gulliver Hancock, the journey of a bug with an identity crisis. He doesn't know who he is or where he is from so he sets off on a world journey to seek answers, meeting wonderful creatures, seeing amazing sights, and eating delicious food!

StoryWalk® is an international initiative that aims to get people out and about in nature together, combining the benefits of physical exercise and reading an uplifting tale to support mental health and literacy development, especially in children.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries including, Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea! They are always received with appreciation.
