The 1878 Rogers K92 Locomotive will be operating on a section of track with each journey consisting of backwards and forwards running. K92 will be running approximately every 15 to 20 minutes - apart from when the Volunteers enjoy a short lunch break.

Tiger Moth Flights may also be available - ask at the Heritage Centre for more information. Flights are weather dependent.

Waimea Plains Railway is a developing Heritage Railway. Waimea Plains Railway Trust was set up to preserve the rail history of the 1890s to 1920s. The Trust has a plan of the final track layout available on view within the Heritage Centre.
