The Fairies Night before Christmas’ by Sarina Dickson of Christchurch is the new book on the StoryWalk®!

A fabulous Christmas advent activity to do with the kids or save it for when the summer holidays begin.

Some fairies face a great catastrophe on the night before Christmas in this story set in summery Aotearoa.

The gorgeous illustrations and lovely messages of resilience, giving and receiving help are beautiful reminders of the true spirit of Christmas.

Children can look for the spider hidden on every picture as they read the story.

Take a pen to do the scavenger hunt challenge that can be collected from the start of the StoryWalk® (near the bird aviary).

Bonus links to more online Christmas craft ideas and an activity book (available at Paper Plus) that goes with the story can be found on the last StoryWalk® post.

This StoryWalk® will be here until mid January 2023.
